This is a “Car Coat” silhouette—originally invented for drivers who needed warmth without the bulk of a full trench coat. The straight cut allows you to sit comfortably in a vehicle without the fabric bunching up around your waist.
1. The “Suit-Over” Fit
We calibrated the armholes and shoulders of this coat to accommodate layers. It fits smoothly over a blazer or a thick sweater from our Men’s Winter Jackets collection. The button-front closure offers a cleaner, more formal visual line than a zipper, making it appropriate for business environments.
2. Vertical Drape Technology
Cheap coats hang limp and look messy. We utilize a slightly thicker leather gauge (1.1mm – 1.2mm) to ensure the coat hangs perfectly straight. This “vertical drape” slims the profile and hides creases. The shirt-style collar is reinforced to stand up against the wind if needed.
3. Thermal Lining Core
Inside, we installed a quilted viscose lining that traps body heat. Unlike heavy shearling, this lining regulates temperature, so you don’t overheat while walking from the subway to the office.
